Richmond will get a taste of real indie rock this spring as Young The Giant brings their mega Victory Garden Tour to the Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront on Friday 29th May 2026. The breathtakingly scenic venue will play host to not one but three bands for what promises to be an unforgettable night of live music.
Experience an exciting night of Young The Giant’s biggest hits and brand new music from their upcoming release of “Victory Garden” out 2026. Special guests Cold War Kids will join in playing their unique sound of blues and indie rock. Almost Monday kicks off the night with their Excellent California vibes and current Billboard #1 hit single “Can’t Slow Down”. This rock show will include hits “My Body”, “Cough Syrup”, “Superposition”, “Hang Me Up to Dry” and “First”.

The 40 date continental US tour makes its way to thousands of passionate fans on both coasts of the James River playing iconic venues from Richmond to Tampa, Boston to LA and everywhere in between.
Young The Giant, an American indie pop/stadium rock quintet from Irvine, CA, blends musical influences from cultures and styles from around the globe within the vast spectrum of the alternative rock scene. Here fans can experience several of their hit songs, including their most hard-hitting live performances of “My Body,” “Cough Syrup,” “Apartment,” and new release “Superposition.”
This show gives a sampling of Young The Giant’s upcoming album, Victory Garden, released in 2026. The group is comprised of five members, including lead vocalist Sameer Gadhia and guitarists Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata, bassist Payam Doostzadeh, and drummer François Comtois.
Their previous albums have received RIAA multi-Platinum certification with four Top 10 singles on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, including “Cough Syrup,” “My Body,” “Superposition,” and “Silent- ico.” Young The Giant has performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Glastonbury Festival, and many more music festivals and events.
This performance by Cold War Kids will showcase the band’s extensive catalogue of indie rock, blues rock, and blue-eyed soul through their diverse discography. Known for crafting compelling stories within their anthemic tracks, there is no doubt audiences will recognize hits like “Hang Me Up to Dry,” “First,” and “Ordinary Idols.”
Their most recent self-titled release in 2023 dives into themes such as living with chronic pain, social justice, and tackles a multitude of complex topics that have become hallmark subjects for the California-based band. Founding members Nathan Willett (vocals/piano/guitar) and Matt Maust (bass) have been at the core of Cold War Kids for years, releasing ten full-length albums with the last singling out to reach platinum status with lead single “First.”
San Diego trio Almost Monday play indie pop with a strong California twist, both in their members’ relationships and in the beaches and sun they embody. Childhood friends Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Luke Fabry (bass), and Cole Clisby (guitar) take inspiration from the surf scene and riding out the sun-drenched days of their young adulthood in San Diego’s beaches. Their singles “Can’t Slow Down,” “Sunburn,” “live forever,” and “Enjoy the Ride” are simply designed to dance to.
A state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater is located on the historic James River waterfront at 350 Tredegar Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. The Richmond outdoor amphitheater seats approximately 7,500 with Reserved Seating, VIP Boxes and General Admission on the lawn. You may bring a lawn chair; chairs are also available for rent on a first come, first served basis.
A full concession stand is on site; however, vendors and menu items are subject to change from show to show.
